Matters of the Heart

Just here letting you all know as the reader, that I haven’t just up and left you. I have been personally dealing with some matters of the heart, my heart, my physical heart. I have known for a while now that my heart has been stressed due to the nature of life itself perhaps, and growing up in tuff situations. I have often found myself, having to stop and catch my breathe, and then their is of course the occasional heart palpitations.

To get to the point, I have just recently arrived home from being in the hospital. I had an event which scared me yesterday morning, where I felt as if I was having a heart attack. Where you have the sudden hard pain to your chest that wraps around your whole mid section, the numbing of your left upper arm, and the lower jaw hurting, and where taking some Tums didn’t seem to ease it or make it go away.

A quick ride in the ambulance, 8 hours in the emergency room, a nitro tablet under the tongue, 4 baby aspirin, a heart monitor, some iv fluids, and an overnight stay in the hospital until I was discharged with a follow up appointment to see a cardiologist, has arrived me now to here. I feel exhausted and overwhelmed. Being the patient is something I wish on no one.

I will be working on ways to decrease my stress, learning to relax, and perhaps meditate more. These are all good suggestions mentioned to me per the health care providers. Great blogging material, that I can share.

For now though, I need to rest.

I will be getting back on track soon, so bare with me. Take care of your health and I will do the same. 🙂

Lots of love,

Bridgette~

  1. I put a blog together to support healthcare workers one-mo.org. That may be where you and I connected. Anyway, on the front page are some resources for relaxation.

    Be kind to yourself.
